Inciclav 500mg/125mg Tablet is an antibiotic that helps your body fight infections caused by bacteria. It is used to treat infections of the lungs (e.g., pneumonia), ear, nasal sinus, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue. It will not work for viral infections such as the common cold. Common side effects include diarrhea, and it is important to consult your doctor if you notice bloody stools or develop abdominal cramps. Always follow your doctor's advice regarding the use of this medication.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Inciclav 500mg/125mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Inciclav 500mg/125mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic that works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering, which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.
Diarrhea may occur as a side effect. Taking probiotics along with Inciclav 500mg/125mg Tablet may help. Talk to your doctor if you notice bloody stools or develop abdominal cramps. Do not take antacids 2 hours before or after taking Inciclav 500mg/125mg Tablet. Stop taking Inciclav 500mg/125mg Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you develop an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat or tongue, or breathing difficulties while taking it. Do not use leftover medicine for treating any infection in the future. Always consult your doctor before taking any antibiotic. Stick to simple meals, avoid rich or spicy food, and drink plenty of water while taking Inciclav 500mg/125mg Tablet.
