Gatia 200mg Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria, thereby curing the infection. Common side effects include headache, dizziness, vomiting, nausea, and stomach pain, which are usually temporary. Diarrhea may also occur but should stop once the course is complete. Consult your doctor if side effects persist or if you find blood in your stools. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Special care should be taken for individuals with kidney problems.

Gatifloxacin oral (tablet and suspension) and injection form has been withdrawn from the market due to incidences of abnormally high or low blood sugar levels in humans. Its ophthalmic form (eye drop) is available to treat bacterial infections of the eye and is considered safe for use.
