Gabspen-NT 100 Tablet is a combination medicine used for the treatment of neuropathic pain by stopping the movement of pain signals to the brain. Gabspen-NT 100 Tablet is a combination medicine used primarily for the treatment of neuropathic pain. It works by stopping the movement of pain signals to the brain, thereby decreasing pain. The medicine combines Gabapentin, which modulates calcium channel activity of nerve cells, and Nortriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant that increases levels of serotonin and noradrenaline to stop pain signals. While effective, it may have side effects and should be used under medical supervision, especially during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Gabspen-NT 100 Tablet is a combination of Gabapentin and Nortriptyline. Gabapentin decreases pain by modulating calcium channel activity of nerve cells, while Nortriptyline increases levels of serotonin and noradrenaline to stop pain signals in the brain. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Gabspen-NT 100 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Alcohol
Gabspen-NT 100 Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Breastfeed
Gabspen-NT 100 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Gabspen-NT 100 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Please consult your doctor.
