Forlast 10mg Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Forlast 10mg Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH. It increases blood flow to the penis to help men get an erection. In PAH, it relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Forlast 10mg Tablet is a phosphodiesterase (PDE-5) inhibitor. It works in erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis by relaxing the muscles in penile blood vessels. Forlast 10mg Tablet also relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs. When the blood vessels relax and widen, it's easier for the heart to pump blood through the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Can Forlast 10mg Tablet affect fertility?
No, using Forlast 10mg Tablet does not impact fertility. It functions by relaxing the muscles of penile blood vessels and has no effect on reproductive health.
Is it safe to consume alcohol while taking Forlast 10mg Tablet?
While moderate amounts of alcohol may not cause discomfort, excessive drinking (5 units or more) can increase the risk of headaches, dizziness, increased heart rate, and low blood pressure.
Does Forlast 10mg Tablet delay ejaculation?
No, Forlast 10mg Tablet does not affect ejaculation timing. It is specifically used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
When should I discontinue taking Forlast 10mg Tablet?
Seek medical attention immediately if you experience sudden vision loss in one or both eyes, sudden hearing decrease or hearing loss, ringing in your ears, dizziness, prolonged erections lasting more than 4 hours, or painful erections exceeding 6 hours.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Forlast 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- It is best to take it an hour before sexual intercourse. But you can take it anytime between 30 minutes and 4 hours before sexual activity.
- Do not take it more than once a day.
- Do not use Forlast 10mg Tablet if you have recently taken nitrates (medicines used in angina or chest pain).
- It may cause dizziness or blurred vision. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
- Avoid drinking alcohol as it can reduce your ability to get an erection and can make dizziness worse.
- Seek medical attention if the erection persists for more than 4 hours after sexual intercourse.
