Introduction

Flovix MS Oral Suspension is a combination of three active ingredients: ofloxacin, metronidazole, and simethicone. It is used to treat bacterial infections in children. The antibiotic ingredients interfere with the genetic material of bacteria, killing the infection-causing bacteria and preventing their growth. Simethicone helps in the removal of gases and provides relief in stomach pain and bloating.

Flovix MS Oral Suspension is given to children for the treatment of bacterial infections.

The antibiotic ingredients interfere with the genetic material of bacteria by impairing its DNA, killing the infection-causing bacteria and preventing their growth. Simethicone binds with the gas bubbles produced as a result of the other two ingredients or as a result of some other problem, aiding in the removal of gases and providing relief in stomach pain and bloating.

Diarrhea is a common side effect. If it occurs, make sure your child drinks plenty of water. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Flovix MS Oral Suspension. Never use this medicine for the common cold and flu as they are caused by viruses and Flovix MS Oral Suspension treats only bacterial infections. Discontinue Flovix MS Oral Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing. Only give Flovix MS Oral Suspension to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses.
