Filda 10mg Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Filda 10mg Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH. It increases blood flow to the penis to help men get an erection. In PAH, it relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Filda 10mg Tablet is a phosphodiesterase (PDE-5) inhibitor. It works in erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis by relaxing the muscles in penile blood vessels. Filda 10mg Tablet also relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs. When the blood vessels relax and widen, it's easier for the heart to pump blood through the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Does Filda 10mg Tablet affect fertility?
Filda 10mg Tablet is not associated with any negative impact on fertility. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, contributing to erectile dysfunction treatment.
Should I avoid alcohol while taking Filda 10mg Tablet?
Moderate alcohol consumption (5 units or less) is generally tolerable. However, excessive alcohol intake (more than 5 units for men and more than 3 units for women per day) may increase the likelihood of experiencing headaches, dizziness, increased heart rate, or low blood pressure.
Does Filda 10mg Tablet affect ejaculation?
Filda 10mg Tablet is not known to delay ejaculation. It primarily treats erectile dysfunction.
What are the symptoms that necessitate discontinuing Filda 10mg Tablet?
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience sudden vision changes (loss of vision or blurred vision) in one or both eyes, significant hearing loss, ringing in your ears, or dizziness. It's essential to consult a doctor if you experience prolonged erections lasting longer than 4 hours or painful erections lasting longer than 6 hours.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Filda 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- It is best to take it an hour before sexual intercourse. But you can take it anytime between 30 minutes and 4 hours before sexual activity.
- Do not take it more than once a day.
- Do not use Filda 10mg Tablet if you have recently taken nitrates (medicines used in angina or chest pain).
- It may cause dizziness or blurred vision. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
- Avoid drinking alcohol as it can reduce your ability to get an erection and can make dizziness worse.
- Seek medical attention if the erection persists for more than 4 hours after sexual intercourse.
