Fibristal Tablet is a medicine used to treat uterine fibroids in premenopausal women who cannot undergo surgical treatment or have not responded to surgical intervention. Fibristal Tablet is a medicine used to treat uterine fibroids (a non-cancerous growth in the uterus) in premenopausal women who cannot undergo surgical treatment or have not responded to surgical intervention. It helps reduce the size of the fibroids, stops or controls bleeding, and increases red blood cell count.
Fibristal Tablet is a selective progesterone receptor modulator..It works by modifying the action of progesterone (natural female hormone)..It is used either before surgery of fibroids or for intermittent (at regular intervals) treatment of fibroids..It helps reduce their size, stops or controls bleeding and increases your red blood cell count.
How does Fibristal Tablet work for fibroids?
Fibristal Tablet works by blocking progesterone receptors, which reduces progesterone levels and helps decrease fibroid size. Fibroids are non-cancerous growths around the uterus. When taken at a prescribed dose, Fibristal Tablet inhibits ovulation, leading to cessation of menstruation. This may benefit women with heavy bleeding due to fibroids.
Does Fibristal Tablet stop periods?
No, taking a single dose of Fibristal Tablet does not stop periods, but it may delay or advance them. In some cases, you may experience bleeding between periods. Consult your doctor if this occurs.
Can ulipristal be used as regular birth control medicine?
No, Fibristal Tablet is not intended for regular use as a birth control method. It is designed for occasional use as an emergency contraceptive. The safety and effectiveness of Fibristal Tablet have not been established for repeated use within a single menstrual cycle, and repeated use is not recommended.
How and when should Fibristal Tablet be taken?
Fibristal Tablet should be taken orally as soon as possible after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure, and no later than 120 hours (5 days) after the incident. It can be taken at any time of day, with or without food, and at any point during your menstrual cycle.
What if I vomit after taking Fibristal Tablet?
If you vomit within 3 hours of taking Fibristal Tablet, take another tablet. However, if you vomit more than 3 hours after taking the medication, you do not need to take another tablet.
Do I need to continue with my regular birth control method?
Fibristal Tablet may reduce the effectiveness of your birth control pills, so it is recommended that you continue using condoms until your next period (menses) in addition to your birth control pills.

When taking Fibristal Tablet, be aware that it is not effective if you are already pregnant, and it does not work if you have unprotected sex after taking the tablet. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor..Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it..Fibristal Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

- It considerably reduces or stops your menstrual bleeding within the first 10 days of treatment.
- Notify your doctor if you continue to have heavy bleeding despite taking Fibristal Tablet.
- Your periods will usually start again within four weeks of stopping Fibristal Tablet.
- Use a reliable barrier contraceptive method (such as condoms or a diaphragm) to prevent pregnancy while you are taking Fibristal Tablet as it may make hormonal contraceptives (such as pills) less effective.
Alcohol
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Fibristal Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeed
Fibristal Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Fibristal Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
