Fawntru MZS Syrup is given to children for the treatment of bacterial infections of the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract. Give Fawntru MZS Syrup to your child orally, preferably at a fixed time, either before or after meals. In case your child develops a stomach upset, prefer giving it with meals. Generally, this medicine is prescribed to be given two times a day, in the morning and evening. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of intake, repeat the same dose but do not double the dose if it is time for the next dose. Never change the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor since these depend upon the type and severity of the infection, your child's age, and body weight.
Fawntru MZS Syrup is a combination of three active ingredients. While two of its ingredients, namely ofloxacin and metronidazole are antibiotics, simethicone is a gas-absorbing agent that improves gastric tolerability of the combination. The antibiotic ingredients interfere with the genetic material of bacteria by impairing its DNA. This kills the infection-causing bacteria, preventing its growth and stopping the infection. On the other hand, Simethicone binds with the gas bubbles produced as a result of the other two ingredients or as a result of some other problem. By doing so, it aids in the removal of gases and provides relief in stomach pain and bloating.
