Faexoga CV 200mg/125mg Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat various types of bacterial infections. It inhibits the growth of bacteria and prevents the further spread of the infection. Faexoga CV 200mg/125mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it in the dose and duration as per the prescription of the doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The course of the treatment must be completed even if you feel better. Sudden discontinuation of the treatment may affect the potency of the medicine.
Faexoga CV 200mg/125mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Faropenem and Clavulanic Acid. Faropenem is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Faropenem against bacteria.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Faexoga CV 200mg/125mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- Stick to simple meals
- avoid rich or spicy food and drink plenty of water while taking Faexoga CV 200mg/125mg Tablet
- Try to drink plenty of water while you are taking Faexoga CV 200mg/125mg Tablet
- Do not take antacids 2 hours before or after taking Faexoga CV 200mg/125mg Tablet
- Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools
- If you are taking any contraceptive 'pill' at the same time as this antibiotic, the effectiveness of the 'pill' can be reduced if you vomit (which lasts for more than 24 hours). In such a case, ask your doctor for additional contraceptive measures
- Stop taking Faexoga CV 200mg/125mg Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you develop an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat, or tongue, or breathing difficulties while taking it
