Esoriv 20mg Tablet is used to treat conditions related to excessive stomach acid production, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Esoriv 20mg Tablet can also be used to prevent stomach ulcers caused by certain medications such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Take the medicine as per your doctor's prescription. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for but it is usually the lowest dose for the shortest time that is needed to treat your condition. It is usually taken on an empty stomach preferably in the morning or at least 1 hour prior to meal. Continue taking the medicine even if your symptoms disappear until the doctor say it is okay to stop. If you are taking this medicine for a long time your doctor may carry out regular tests to check your levels of magnesium which can fall with this medicine.
Esoriv 20mg Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.
What is the best time to take Esoriv 20mg Tablet?
Esoriv 20mg Tablet is usually taken once a day, first thing in the morning. If you need to take it twice a day, take one dose in the morning and one in the evening.
Can I take Esoriv 20mg Tablet with domperidone?
Yes, Esoriv 20mg Tablet can be safely taken with domperidone as no harmful effects have been reported clinically. A fixed-dose combination of these two medicines is also available. Domperidone increases gut motility and Esoriv 20mg Tablet decreases stomach acid production. These include low blood magnesium levels, which can make you feel tired, confused, dizzy, shaky, or lightheaded. You may also experience muscle twitches, irregular heartbeat, and in prolonged usage, a higher risk of bone fractures, stomach infections, and vitamin B12 deficiency. Vitamin B12 deficiency may lead to anemia, causing fatigue, weakness, or pallor. Additionally, you may encounter palpitations, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, indigestion, loss of appetite, flatulence (gas), or nerve problems like numbness, tingling, and gait disturbances.
