Eptus 25 Tablet is a medicine known as a diuretic (water pill) used in the treatment of heart failure and high blood pressure, and to reduce swelling (edema) caused by some other conditions. Eptus 25 Tablet can be taken with or without food, but you should take it in the same way each time to get the most benefit. Taking it with food can reduce some side effects and taking it early in the day can prevent you from having to get up at night to go to the toilet. You should keep using this medicine as it has been prescribed, even if you feel well. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. If you are being treated for high blood pressure, lifestyle changes such as taking regular exercise and changes to your diet may increase the effectiveness of this medicine.
Eptus 25 Tablet is a potassium-sparing diuretic. It works by stopping aldosterone (a natural substance) from increasing your blood pressure. It also reduces the fluid around your heart. This helps improve your heart function after a heart attack and can help prevent heart attacks, strokes or heart failure getting worse.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Eptus 25 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Alcohol
Eptus 25 Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
