Enerz ME Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems.
Enerz ME Injection contains vitamin B12, an essential nutrient required by the body to make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also plays a role in releasing energy from food and utilizing vitamin B11 (folate).
Vitamin B12 is found naturally in various foods like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. Individuals who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet may not obtain adequate Vitamin B12 as it is not present in common plant-based sources like fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, dietary deficiencies of vitamin B12 are more prevalent in vegetarians and vegans.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to various symptoms, including fatigue and weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (an abnormal development of red blood cells). It can also cause nerve problems such as numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other signs may include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and mouth or tongue soreness.
Enerz ME Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, some individuals may experience rare side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and rash. If a rash develops, discontinue taking the medication immediately.
Enerz ME Injection can be administered intravenously (directly into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle). The usual dose is 0.5mg of Enerz ME Injection and it's typically administered three times per week. After two months, the dosage is adjusted to one ampoule (0.5 mg of Enerz ME Injection) every one to three months for maintenance therapy.
Avoid injecting at the same site repeatedly. If experiencing intense pain during injection or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-inject at a different location.
