Endomal SP Tablet is a combination medicine that is prescribed to treat malaria. Endomal SP Tablet is a prescription medicine. It is to be taken with food and take it at a fixed time regularly. Take the medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not consume more than the recommended dose as this may have harmful effects on your body. A missed dose should be taken as soon as you remember. The course of the treatment should be completed for better efficacy. While on this medicine, some people may experience weakness, nausea, headache, mouth sore, etc. as its side effects. Please consult your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration. Before using it, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotics (especially sulpha medicines) or have any kidney or liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may monitor you with regular blood and urine tests during treatment.
Endomal SP Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Artesunate, Sulphadoxine and Pyrimethamine which treat malaria. Artesunate and Pyrimethamine are antiparasitic medicines which work by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood, a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading. Sulphadoxine is an antibiotic which stops the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Endomal SP Tablet is to be taken with food.
