Enam 10 Tablet belongs to a group of medicines known as angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. It is widely used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure and may be prescribed after a heart attack. It also lowers the chances of having a heart attack or stroke. Enam 10 Tablet can be prescribed either alone or in combination with other medicines. It should be taken on an empty stomach. This medicine should be taken at the same time each day to get the most benefit. It is important to continue taking it regularly even if you feel well or even if your blood pressure is controlled. Most people with high blood pressure do not feel ill, but if you stop taking this medicine, your condition could get worse. This is a widely used medicine and is considered safe for long-term use. Making some changes in your lifestyle will also help lower your blood pressure. These may include regular exercise, losing weight, smoking cessation, reducing alcohol intake, and reducing the amount of salt in your diet as advised by your doctor. The most common side effects of this medicine include decreased blood pressure, cough, increased potassium level in blood, fatigue, weakness, and dizziness. Can use of Enam 10 Tablet affect my liver?
In rare cases, Enam 10 Tablet may cause yellowing of skin and eyes, loss of appetite, and an increase in liver enzymes. If you experience any such symptoms, contact your doctor immediately.
Is it safe to use Enam 10 Tablet along with hydrochlorothiazide?
You have to be careful when taking Enam 10 Tablet with hydrochlorothiazide, as it can further decrease blood pressure. I am taking ibuprofen for arthritis; is it safe to take Enam 10 Tablet along with it?
You should avoid taking ibuprofen and Enam 10 Tablet together since there is a risk of kidney damage. Also, this combined usage may reduce the effectiveness of Enam 10 Tablet. Consult your doctor for an alternative to ibuprofen.
How long does it take for Enam 10 Tablet to start working?

Can I take Enam 10 Tablet before surgery?

This is done because Enam 10 Tablet can reduce blood pressure when used with an anesthetic. Hence, your doctor may advise you to stop taking Enam 10 Tablet 24 hours before surgery.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Enam 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- It should be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.
- Enam 10 Tablet can make you feel dizzy for the first few days, so rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. You can also prefer taking it at bedtime to avoid dizziness throughout the day.
- Let your doctor know about any cough or throat irritation that does not go away.
- It may increase the level of potassium in the blood. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as bananas and broccoli.

Alcohol

Breastfeed

Pregnancy
