It is widely used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure and may be prescribed after a heart attack. EL 10mg Tablet can be prescribed either alone or in combination with other medicines. It should be taken on an empty stomach. This medicine should be taken at the same time each day to get the most benefit. It is important to continue taking it regularly even if you feel well or even if your blood pressure is controlled. Most people with high blood pressure do not feel ill but if you stop taking this medicine your condition could get worse. This is a widely used medicine and is considered safe for long-term use.

What is the purpose of taking EL 10mg Tablet?

Can I take ibuprofen with EL 10mg Tablet?
You should avoid taking ibuprofen and EL 10mg Tablet together, as there is a risk of kidney damage. This combined usage may also reduce the effectiveness of EL 10mg Tablet. Consult your doctor for an alternative to ibuprofen.
How long does it take for EL 10mg Tablet to start working?

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. EL 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with EL 10mg Tablet.
Breastfeed
EL 10mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Use of EL 10mg Tablet immediately after childbirth should be avoided.
Pregnancy
EL 10mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
