Edalis 10mg Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Edalis 10mg Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). It increases blood flow to the penis to help men get an erection. In PAH, it relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Edalis 10mg Tablet is a phosphodiesterase (PDE-5) inhibitor. It works in erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis by relaxing the muscles in penile blood vessels. Edalis 10mg Tablet also relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs. When the blood vessels relax and widen, it's easier for the heart to pump blood through the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Does Edalis 10mg Tablet affect fertility?
No, Edalis 10mg Tablet does not affect fertility. It works by relaxing the muscles of penile blood vessels and has no effect on fertility.
Should I avoid alcohol while taking Edalis 10mg Tablet?
While small amounts of alcohol may not cause discomfort, excessive consumption (5 units or more) could lead to headaches or dizziness, increased heart rate, and low blood pressure.
Does Edalis 10mg Tablet delay ejaculation?
No, Edalis 10mg Tablet is not known to affect ejaculation. It is prescribed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
What symptoms require discontinuation of Edalis 10mg Tablet?
You should immediately consult your doctor if you experience sudden vision loss in one or both eyes, sudden hearing decrease or hearing loss, ringing in the ears and dizziness. Also, seek medical attention if you experience prolonged erections lasting more than 4 hours or painful erections exceeding 6 hours.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Edalis 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- Do not use Edalis 10mg Tablet if you have recently taken nitrates (medicines used in angina or chest pain).
- Do not use Edalis 10mg Tablet if you have had a heart attack in the past 3 months or stroke or heart failure in the past 6 months.
