E2tab-H Tablet is a female sex hormone (estrogen) used to treat symptoms associated with menopause, estrogen deficiency, and thinning of bones (osteoporosis). E2tab-H Tablet is a hormone replacement therapy (HRT) that is used to relieve symptoms of menopause. It is a tablet that is swallowed with water and can be taken with or without food. The dose and duration will be decided by your doctor. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any dose and finish the full course of treatment. The treatment should not be stopped abruptly without consulting your doctor as this may affect the potency of this medicine.
E2tab-H Tablet contains a medication called estrogen (female sex hormone). It works by replacing estrogen that is normally produced by the body. In women who are undergoing or have attained menopause, it prevents symptoms such as hot flushes, vaginal burning, dryness, and itching caused due to lack of estrogen.
What is E2tab-H Tablet and what is it used for?
E2tab-H Tablet contains Estradiol, which is an estrogen hormone. It helps in treating estrogen deficiency symptoms like hot flushes (red and warm face) and vaginal dryness in women. It is also used to prevent osteoporosis (thinning and weakening of bones) in postmenopausal women who are at high risk of fractures and have limited treatment choice.
What if I miss a dose of E2tab-H Tablet?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If the dose was missed by more than 12 hours, do not take the missed dose and simply continue with the usual dosing schedule.
What are the most common side effects which I may experience while taking E2tab-H Tablet?
Common side effects associated with E2tab-H Tablet include lower abdominal pain, period cramps, breast tenderness, endometrial hyperplasia (thickening of the uterus lining), and vaginal discharge. Most of these symptoms are temporary. However, if they persist, consult your doctor as soon as possible.
What can I take for estrogen deficiency?
Treatment for estrogen deficiency is based on the underlying cause. Your doctor may choose from a variety of medications depending on your age and clinical condition. Medications will also depend on whether you are estrogen deficient or have high progesterone levels.
Who should not take E2tab-H Tablet?
E2tab-H Tablet is not recommended for patients with unusual vaginal bleeding, liver problems, or bleeding disorders. It should also be avoided by pregnant women or those who are allergic to E2tab-H Tablet. Patients who have had uterus or breast cancer, experienced a stroke or heart attack, or currently have or had blood clots should also avoid this medication.
Does E2tab-H Tablet cause weight gain?
E2tab-H Tablet may cause either weight gain or weight loss. This is a common side effect of the medicine, but exercise and healthy eating can help prevent weight gain. If you notice weight gain that bothers you, consult your doctor.
How should E2tab-H Tablet be taken?
E2tab-H Tablet tablets must be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablets whole with water. You can take them at any time of day but it's best to take them at the same time each day.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. E2tab-H Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

E2tab-H Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
Pregnancy
