Dvnac-TH Injection is a combination of two medicines: Thiocolchicoside and Diclofenac, which relieves muscle pain. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and improve movement of muscles. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Dvnac-TH Injection helps relieve pain and muscle spasm that may occur due to strains, sprains, and muscle injuries. It is usually used along with rest and physical therapy. It may cause dizziness. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Dvnac-TH Injection as it may cause excessive drowsiness.
Dvnac-TH Injection is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients or excipients. It should be avoided in patients with a history of active gastrointestinal ulcers, ulcer bleeding or stomach ulcers. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of heart failure, high blood pressure and in those with pre-existing liver or kidney disease.
Dvnac-TH Injection is usually used for short-term relief and should be discontinued when your pain subsides. However, you should continue the medication as advised by your healthcare provider.
Store Dvnac-TH Injection in its original package or container, tightly sealed. Ensure you refer to the label on the pack or container for specific storage instructions. Dispose of unused medication appropriately and ensure that it is not accessible by pets, children, or other individuals.
Dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) may occur as a side effect of Dvnac-TH Injection in some patients. If you experience dizziness, rest for a while and resume your activities only when you feel better.
Long-term use of Dvnac-TH Injection may potentially lead to kidney damage. Prostaglandins, chemicals that protect your kidneys, are usually produced by the body's natural process; however, painkillers can reduce prostaglandin levels over time, leading to increased risk of kidney problems. Patients with pre-existing kidney diseases should avoid using this medication.
Increasing the dosage of Dvnac-TH Injection may not lead to greater effectiveness. Instead, it might increase the likelihood of side effects and potential toxicity. If you are experiencing increased symptoms that do not respond to recommended doses, consult your healthcare provider for a reassessment.
