Dutaszen 0.5mg Tablet is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia by shrinking the size of the enlarged prostate gland. It may take 3 to 6 months to see the full beneficial effect of Dutaszen 0.5mg Tablet. Hence, continue taking the medicine as advised by your doctor.
Dutaszen 0.5mg Tablet is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. It blocks an enzyme which is necessary to change testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow. As a result, it helps to shrink the prostate and relieve the symptoms like difficulty in passing urine.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dutaszen 0.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
