Donzheimer 5mg Tablet is prescribed to treat mild to moderate dementia in Alzheimer’s disease, a progressive illness that gradually affects memory and thinking. While it does not cure the disease, it may help improve memory, awareness, and other symptoms. Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, insomnia, vomiting, muscle cramps, fatigue, weight loss, headache, loss of appetite, common cold, urinary incontinence, and rash. It is important to stay hydrated and consult your doctor if side effects are severe or persistent. Inform your doctor if you have heart problems, stomach ulcers, epilepsy, or asthma, as well as any other medications you are taking. During pregnancy, this medicine should only be taken if advised by a doctor.
Donzheimer 5mg Tablet is a cholinesterase inhibitor. It works by increasing the levels of a chemical messenger (acetylcholine) involved in the transmission of nerve signals, thereby improving memory and thinking.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Donzheimer 5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Donzheimer 5mg Tablet.
Breastfeed
Donzheimer 5mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Donzheimer 5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.
