How it works

Diprobay Plus Lotion is a combination of two medicines: Betamethasone and Zinc Sulfate. Betamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Zinc Sulfate works as an astringent and antiseptic on the skin.

Direction of use

This medicine is for external use only. Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Shake it well and apply to the area evenly.

Tips

• Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor as this may increase the risk of side effects.
• Do not apply it to broken or infected areas of skin unless instructed by your doctor.
• Avoid contact with your eyes, nose or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get it in these areas.
• Do not use this medicine more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after two weeks of treatment.

Side Effects

• The most common side effects of this medicine are dryness, itchiness, redness, and burning sensation at the application site. These are usually self-limiting.
