Darolac Sachet is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of diarrhea by restoring the balance of good bacteria in the intestine. Consult a doctor while taking any other medicine especially steroids or antibiotics along with this medicine. The most common side effects are bloating and flatulence. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. Before taking this medicine, you should let your doctor know if you have liver or kidney problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor.

How it works

Darolac Sachet is a probiotic. It works by restoring the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset after antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections.

Direction of use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Empty the granules in a glass of water/milk, stir it and consume immediately. Darolac Sachet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Tips

• Avoid taking Darolac Sachet along with steroids (medications that weaken the immune system) as they might increase the chances of getting sick.
• Notify your doctor if you are pregnant.
• Notify your doctor if you are breast-feeding.
• Take Darolac Sachet at least 2 hours before or after antibiotics. This is because taking Darolac Sachet along with the antibiotics can reduce their effectiveness.
