Dapagloz 10mg/500mg Tablet XR is a combination of two medicines used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus, controlling high blood sugar levels and reducing the risk of heart disease. Dapagloz 10mg/500mg Tablet XR is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Dapagliflozin and Metformin. It helps control the high blood sugar levels seen in diabetes, reducing the chances of serious complications of diabetes and also helps prevent heart disease.
Dapagloz 10mg/500mg Tablet XR is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Dapagliflozin and Metformin. Dapagliflozin works by removing excess sugar (glucose) from your body through urine. Metformin works by lowering sugar production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. Together, they provide better control of blood sugar.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Dapagloz 10mg/500mg Tablet XR is to be taken with food.
- Take it with food to lower your chance of having an upset stomach.
- Drink plenty of fluids and practice good genital hygiene to prevent urinary tract infection.
- Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated to prevent dehydration.
- Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemia symptoms.
