Citraciv Syrup is used in the treatment of gout and kidney stones by stopping the production of uric acid in the body. Citraciv Syrup can be taken with or without food to prevent an upset stomach. It should be taken regularly as advised by your doctor. The most common side effect is stomach pain, and it may also cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, frequent urge to urinate, and tiredness. If these side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor. Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking and any heart, kidney, or liver problems. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking this medicine.
Citraciv Syrup is a urine alkalizer. It works by increasing the pH of urine, making it less acidic. This helps the kidneys get rid of excess uric acid, thereby preventing gout and certain types of kidney stones.
