Citimine 250mg Injection is a medicine used to treat stroke, head injury, Alzheimer's disease, and memory loss (dementia) in Parkinson's disease. It protects nerve cells in the brain from damage and helps repair damaged nerve cells, improving learning and memory. Citimine 250mg Injection is administered as an injection under the supervision of a healthcare professional and should not be self-administered. It is given in cases where oral administration is not possible. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Some common side effects that may be seen with this medicine include decreased blood pressure, stomach pain, diarrhea, irregular heart rate, rash, insomnia, and occurrence or intensification of numbness of paralyzed extremities. You may also notice some injection site reactions such as pain, redness, or swelling. However, these are temporary and usually resolve on their own. Please consult your doctor if these do not subside or bother you.
Citimine 250mg Injection is a nerve protecting medicine. It nourishes the nerve cells, protects them from damage, and improves their survival by producing certain brain chemicals including phosphatidylcholine and acetylcholine. It also reduces free fatty acid buildup at the site of nerve damage.
