Cexide-T Tablet is used in the treatment of schizophrenia. Cexide-T Tablet is a combination medicine which calms the brain by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells. It also blocks the action of a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood. It can be taken with or without food. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor as it has habit-forming potential. If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. Finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important not to stop this medication suddenly as it may cause withdrawal symptoms.
Cexide-T Tablet is a combination of two medicines:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cexide-T Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Alcohol
Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your drowsiness.
Breastfeed
Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
Pregnancy
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy.
