Cefuxime-CV 250mg/62.5mg Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat bacterial infections. It can be taken with or without food but must be taken at a fixed time for better efficacy. Do not consume more than the recommended dose as it may have harmful effects. Complete the course of treatment even if you feel better to avoid resistance. Cefuxime-CV 250mg/62.5mg Tablet is a combination of Cefuroxime and Clavulanic Acid. Cefuroxime is an antibiotic that prevents the formation of the bacterial protective covering essential for bacterial survival. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that blocks enzymes produced by bacteria to inactivate Cefuroxime, reducing resistance and enhancing its activity against bacteria.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it whole without chewing, crushing, or breaking it. It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- You have been prescribed this combination medicine to treat bacterial infections.
- Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
- Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach.

Alcohol

Cefuxime-CV 250mg/62.5mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into breastmilk in significant amounts and is not harmful to the baby.
