Broxum LS Syrup is a combination medicine used to treat cough with mucus, thinning mucus in the nose, windpipe, and lungs, and providing relief from runny nose, sneezing, itching, and watery eyes. Broxum LS Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.

What is Broxum LS Syrup?
Broxum LS Syrup is a combination of three medications: Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol / Levalbuterol, and Guaifenesin. It is used to treat cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens the mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles and widens them. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of mucus, aiding in its removal from airways.
Is Broxum LS Syrup safe to use?
Broxum LS Syrup is generally safe for most patients. However, it may cause common side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, allergic reactions, dizziness, headache, rash, urticaria, tremor, palpitations, muscle cramps, and increased heart rate. If you experience any persistent problems while taking this medicine, inform your doctor immediately.
Are there any specific contraindications for using Broxum LS Syrup?
Do not use Broxum LS Syrup if you have a history of allergies to any of the active or inactive ingredients. Levosalbutamol and beta-blockers like propranolol should generally not be taken together.
