Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop is a medicine used to reduce increased pressure in the eye, in people with glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Never use Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop if the seal is broken before you use it for the first time. Wash your hands before using it and shake the bottle well before each use. If you wear contact lenses, make sure you remove them before instilling them and wait for at least 15 minutes before putting them back. Do not stop using this medicine without asking your doctor. Otherwise, the pressure in your eye will not be controlled and this could damage your sight.
Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. It works by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye) thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.
What is the right way to use Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop?
Always wash your hands before (and after) using Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop. This prevents you from passing the infection from one eye to the other. Remove the cap just before using your medicine and replace it as soon as you have finished. Avoid touching the nozzle of the bottle with your fingers. Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid with a clean finger. Hold the bottle over the eye and allow a single drop to fall into the space between your lower lid and your eye. Close your eye and gently press your finger over the inside corner of your eye (over the eyelid) for about a minute. This helps prevent the drop from draining out of the eye. Repeat in your other eye if your doctor has told you to do this.
How many times should I use Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop in a day?
Ideally, you should use the drops regularly, three times a day, or as prescribed by your doctor.
Does Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop cause blurred vision?
When you instill the eye drops for the first time, it can make your eyes watery and may sometimes cause blurred vision. If this happens, it will quickly clear. Make sure you can see clearly again before you drive, or use tools or machines.
I am experiencing headaches after the start of the treatment with Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop. Is this normal?
Although rare, headache is one of the side-effects of Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop. You may ask your doctor to recommend a suitable painkiller. If the headache continues, speak with your doctor.
When should I seek a doctor’s advice?
You should contact your doctor immediately if you develop swelling in the eyelids, eye pain, dry eye(s), foreign body sensation in the eyes, headache, and discharge from the eyes. Also, inform your doctor if you had or have any scheduled eye surgery.
Can I use Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop if I wear contact lenses?
If you usually wear contact lenses, do not wear them while you're using Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop. You can re-insert the lens 15 minutes after using Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop. Contact your doctor if there is any eye irritation that persists.
Can I use any other eye drop along with Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop?
Always consult your doctor before using any other eye drops along with Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop. It is advisable to give a gap of atleast 10-15 minutes between the two medications.
In which conditions the use of Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop should be avoided?
Use of Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop should be avoided in patients who are allergic to it or any of its components. However, if you are not aware of any allergy or if you are using this medicine for the first time, consult your doctor.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
- Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop helps lower high pressure in the eye and reduce the risk of vision loss.
- For best results, put one drop 2-3 times daily in the affected eye(s).
- Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop.
- Do not touch the tip of the dropper to any surface or to your eye to avoid contaminating the eye drops.
- Remove contact lenses before using Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop and wait at least 15 minutes before re-inserting them.

Brinzodoc 1% Eye Drop is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
