How it works

Boromet Dental Gel is a combination of two medicines: Benzocaine and Metronidazole which treat mouth sores (ulcers). Benzocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases pain sensation in the mouth. Metronidazole is an antibiotic which kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause gum disease, ulcers and other mouth infections by damaging bacterial DNA.

Direction of use

Check the label for directions before use. Gently apply the gel to the affected area inside your mouth. Refrain from eating or drinking immediately after applying the gel.

Tips

• It may take several weeks to show its action. Keep using it as suggested by your doctor.
• Apply a thin layer on the affected area and do not rub vigorously.
• Do not eat or drink immediately after applying Boromet Dental Gel.
• Avoid spicy and sour foods until the ulcers heal.
• Regularly rinse your mouth with warm slightly salted water at least twice a day after your meals.
