Bigspas-P Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of abdominal pain. Bigspas-P Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.
Bigspas-P Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Camylofin and Paracetamol which relieves abdominal pain. Camylofin is an anti-cholinergic which relaxes the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine) and stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). By doing this it relieves cramps, pain, bloating and discomfort. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that causes fever and pain.
Can the use of Bigspas-P Tablet cause damage to the liver?
Bigspas-P Tablet contains Paracetamol, which can harm the liver when taken in very high doses. Additionally, consuming alcohol while taking this medicine may increase the risk of liver damage. Patients with underlying liver disease should consult their doctor before using this medication. If you experience any early signs of liver damage, such as fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, or abnormal liver enzymes, contact your doctor immediately.
Can I drink alcohol while taking Bigspas-P Tablet?
No, it is recommended to avoid drinking alcohol while taking Bigspas-P Tablet, as it may increase the risk of serious side effects.
What are the instructions for storage and disposal of Bigspas-P Tablet?
Store Bigspas-P Tablet in its original container, tightly closed, according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of any unused medication to prevent accidental consumption by pets, children, and other individuals.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Bigspas-P Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
