Besvil 100 Octacap is a combination of two medicines that opens the airways and makes it easier to breathe. The effect of Besvil 100 Octacap may be noticeable after a few days but will only reach its maximum after a few weeks. This medicine must be used regularly for it to show its effect so take it even if you don't have any symptoms. If you stop taking it before the prescribed duration your asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD) may worsen. It should not be used to relieve sudden asthma attacks. If an asthma attack occurs use your quick-relief inhaler (reliever). How it works

Besvil 100 Octacap is a combination of fluticasone furoate and vilanterol. Fluticasone furoate works by blocking the production of certain chemicals in the body which cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies. Vilanterol works by relaxing air passages in the lungs making breathing easier.

Tips

• Gargle with warm water after each inhalation to avoid any fungal infections in your mouth and throat.
• Do not open and close the cover unnecessarily as you will lose the medicine.
• Never breathe out into the mouthpiece.
• Only minuscule amounts of Besvil 100 Octacap may get absorbed into the bloodstream after inhalation. Hence serious side effects such as weight gain are unlikely.

Side Effects

• The most common side effects of Besvil 100 Octacap are nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory tract infection, headache, fever, back pain, pneumonia, sinusitis, and cough. You can prevent some of these symptoms by rinsing your mouth and throat with water or brushing your teeth after using your inhaler.
