BD Glide with TBL Ultra-Fine Needle Insulin Syringes U40 31G 6mm is a sterile, single-use device designed for insulin administration in the treatment of diabetes. How it works

The BD Insulin Syringe is designed to provide accurate and safe insulin administration. The syringe is sterilized with Cobalt 60 Radiation and is guaranteed sterile and non-pyrogenic.

Direction of use

To use the syringe, twist the white cap to break the seal, then pull off. To expose the needle, twist the red cap to break the seal, then pull straight off, being careful not to bend the needle. To measure the correct dose, align the top edge of the ThinLine plunger tip with your dosage mark on the syringe scale. Use only once and destroy the syringe needle and put it in a container for safe disposal.

Tips

• The injection site should be clean, as should one's hands
• 4 mm pen needles and 6 mm syringe needles are recommended for all adults, children and adolescents
• Recommended sites are the abdomen, upper thighs, upper arms and upper buttock
• Persons using insulin should self-inspect their injection sites and screen for Lipohypertropy (Self IE)
• Injection sites should be inspected and palpated by diabetes care professionals at least once a year, and more frequently if LH is detected
• Needles should not be reused. Insulin pens, cartridges and vials should not be shared
• Safe disposal of insulin needles and ancillaries should be ensured
