Bacter NZ 500mg/200mg Tablet is a combination medicine that is used to treat diarrhea and dysentery. It prevents the growth of microorganisms to treat the infection.
Bacter NZ 500mg/200mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Nitazoxanide and Ofloxacin. Nitazoxanide is an antiparasitic. It works by interfering with the energy metabolism of parasites which ultimately causes their death. Ofloxacin kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Together they treat your infection effectively.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Bacter NZ 500mg/200mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Bacter NZ 500mg/200mg Tablet.
Breastfeed
Bacter NZ 500mg/200mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Bacter NZ 500mg/200mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.
