Bact-AC Ear Drop is a combination medicine used in the treatment of ear infection. It works by killing and stopping the growth of microorganisms that cause the infection. It also provides relief from pain, redness, swelling, and itching.
Bact-AC Ear Drop is a combination of five medicines that treat ear infection. Chloramphenicol and Gentamicin are antibiotics that stop the growth of bacteria. Beclometasone is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies. Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication. It kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying its cell membrane thereby treating your infection. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain thereby decreasing pain sensation.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside ear.
- Bact-AC Ear Drop is used to ease pain and swelling associated with some ear infections.
- Put drops in the ear without touching the dropper to the ear. Stay on the side for 2 minutes or put a cotton plug in the ear.
- Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the drop in these areas.
- Do not use the medicine for a longer time without doctor's consultation.
- Make sure not to use the open bottle more than 4 weeks.
