Azithromycin stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Azukind CX 200mg/250mg Tablet contains two antibiotics, cefixime and azithromycin. It is prescribed to treat bacterial infections. Cefixime treats ear, lung, throat, and urinary tract infections. Azithromycin is useful in treating ear infections, strep throat, pneumonia, traveler's diarrhea (loose stools and stomach cramps during travel). Together they can be used to treat infections of the upper respiratory tract (typhoid and pneumonia), urinary tract, and sexually transmitted diseases.
