Asticid O Oral Suspension is a prescription medicine used to treat acidity, stomach ulcer, and heartburn. It relieves symptoms of acidity and ulcers, neutralizes excessive acid in the stomach, and helps in easy passage of gas. Asticid O Oral Suspension is taken without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Asticid O Oral Suspension is a combination of three medicines: Magaldrate, Simethicone, and Oxetacaine, which relieves acidity, heartburn, and stomach ulcers. Magaldrate is an inorganic salt that neutralises the excess acid in stomach. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas. Oxetacaine is a local anesthetic which provides faster relief from pain due to ulcers or acidic injury in the stomach.
Will a higher than the recommended dose of Asticid O Oral Suspension be more effective?
No, taking a higher than the recommended dose may not be more effective, rather it may increase the chances of having serious side effects and toxicity. If the recommended doses do not relieve your symptoms or there is an increased severity of your symptoms, please consult your doctor.
What if I miss a dose?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. But, skip the missed dose if it is time for your next dose. Then follow your normal routine.

Yes, the use of Asticid O Oral Suspension can cause diarrhea. In case of diarrhea, drink plenty of water or other fluids. Talk to your doctor if diarrhea persists and you notice any signs of dehydration, like less urination with dark colored and strong-smelling urine. Do not take any other medicine without consulting your doctor.

Yes, the use of Asticid O Oral Suspension can cause constipation. To prevent constipation, eat high-fiber foods like vegetables, fruits, and cereals. Drink plenty of water. Exercise regularly by engaging in activities like swimming, jogging or taking a short walk. Talk to your doctor about if persistent constipation occurs.
