Asomex-AT Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). Asomex-AT Tablet is a combination of two medicines: S-Amlodipine and Atenolol which lower blood pressure effectively. You can take Asomex-AT Tablet at any time of day with or without food but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it your condition may get worse. How it works

Asomex-AT Tablet is a combination of two medicines: S-Amlodipine and Atenolol which lower blood pressure effectively. S-Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which works by relaxing blood vessels while Atenolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate. Together they make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.

Direction of use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Asomex-AT Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

• Lowering blood pressure reduces chance of future heart attack & strokes.
• It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
• Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it can cause sudden increase in your blood pressure.
• Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy.

Side Effects

• It may cause side effects like headache, nausea, flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), ankle swelling, and slow heart rate. It may also cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you.
