Arnisac 50 Tablet is a combination of two medicines used to treat heart failure. It reduces the risk of hospitalization and death in patients with long-lasting (chronic) heart failure. It is generally given along with other heart failure medications.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Arnisac 50 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Arnisac 50 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Sacubitril and Valsartan which belong to a class of angiotensin receptor neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI). This combination treats heart failure by relaxing the blood vessels and making it easier for your heart to pump blood throughout your body. In addition, it also helps your body retain less water.
You have been prescribed Arnisac 50 Tablet for the treatment of long-lasting (chronic) heart failure. Continue to stay active (light walking and stretching) and eat a healthy, low sodium diet along with taking this medication. To reduce the chances of feeling dizzy, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. Inform your doctor if you have a history of liver or kidney diseases. Do not take Arnisac 50 Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Patients who are allergic to any component of Arnisac 50 Tablet, or those allergic to ACE inhibitors or ARBs, should avoid using this medicine. It is not recommended for use with other antihypertensive medicines like ACE inhibitors or ARBs. A minimum of 36 hours should be allowed before or after taking an ACE inhibitor medicine. If unsure, consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor about any medical conditions you have, including liver or kidney disease, and a history of facial swelling (angioedema). Also, let them know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Additionally, disclose all medications you are taking, especially potassium supplements or their salts, painkillers, blood pressure or heart failure medicines (such as ACE inhibitors, ARBs, or Aliskiren).
No, it is recommended to avoid using Arnisac 50 Tablet during pregnancy. Its use can cause injury or even endanger the life of the baby. If you become pregnant while taking Arnisac 50 Tablet, stop its use immediately and consult your doctor.
Your doctor will regularly check your blood potassium levels to detect high potassium levels (hyperkalemia). Make sure you do not miss any scheduled appointments with the doctor.
