Aquaray Gel is an eye lubricant or artificial tears used to relieve dry eyes by maintaining proper lubrication of the eyes. Aquaray Gel is usually taken when needed. Use the number of drops as advised by your doctor. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering any other medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Do not use a bottle if the seal is broken before you open it. Always wash your hands and do not touch the end of the dropper. This could infect your eye. This medicine may require long-term use and can be taken safely for as long as you need it.
Aquaray Gel is a lubricant. It works similar to natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort due to dryness of the eye.
What is Aquaray Gel used for?
Aquaray Gel is a tear substitute indicated for the temporary relief of dry eye discomfort and irritation. It is also used as an lubricant for soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses to provide lubrication during wear.
What are the side effects of Aquaray Gel?
Possible side effects of Aquaray Gel include: visual disturbances, eye discharge, and possible medication residue. Other potential side effects may involve redness of the eye, eye irritation, burning and discomfort, eyelid swelling, and itching of the eye.
How should Aquaray Gel be stored?
Store Aquaray Gel at or below 25°C (77°F) and out of the reach of children. Do not touch the tip of the container to any surface, and replace the cap after each use. Ensure that Aquaray Gel is not used past its expiry date or after 30 days of opening.
How should Aquaray Gel be used?
For dry eyes: Instil 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed. For contact lens lubrication: Apply 1 to 2 drops per eye with lenses on, as needed or directed by your doctor. Blink several times after pouring the drops.
Is Aquaray Gel bad?
No, Aquaray Gel is a safe medicine. It is intended for external use only and is not harmful. However, some patients may experience eye irritation (burning and discomfort), eye pain, itchy eyes, or visual disturbances. If you experience these effects, contact your doctor immediately.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

- May require long-term use.
- Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop.
- Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution of this medicine.
