Can I cut the tablet of Apixaid 2.5 Tablet?
If you have difficulty swallowing the whole tablet, it may be crushed and mixed with water or 5% dextrose in water, or apple juice or apple puree. Always crush the medicine just before you take it.

In atrial fibrillation, the heart beats irregularly, increasing the likelihood of clots forming and potentially leading to strokes. Apixaid 2.5 Tablet also helps to reduce the risk of forming a blood clot in the legs or lungs after hip or knee replacement surgery. It may also help prevent blood clots in the veins of your legs (deep vein thrombosis) or lungs (pulmonary embolism), and reduce the risk of them occurring again.
How dangerous is Apixaid 2.5 Tablet?
While using Apixaid 2.5 Tablet, be aware that it may cause excessive bleeding because it's a blood thinner. Do not stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor. If you had epidural or spinal anesthesia or a spinal puncture while on Apixaid 2.5 Tablet, you might develop a blood clot in or around your spine, which could result in paralysis in some patients. Always inform your doctor if you've had any of these procedures.
