Amasid Suspension is a combination medicine used to treat acidity, stomach ulcer, and bloating, relieving symptoms such as stomach pain or irritation. How it works

Amasid Suspension is a combination of four medicines: Aluminium Hydroxide, Dicyclomine, Magnesium, and Simethicone. Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium neutralize the excess acid in the stomach. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). In doing this, it relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

Direction of use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Amasid Suspension is to be taken with food.

Tips

• This medicine can make it harder for your body to absorb other medicines, especially certain antibiotics. Avoid taking any other medicine within 2 hours before or 2 hours after you take Amasid Suspension.
• Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve within 2 weeks of taking this medicine.
• Incorporate the following lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity and bloating: Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water, Avoid spicy and fatty fried food, Lose weight if you are obese, If you are a smoker, consider giving up, Don't drink too much alcohol, Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for some time for better digestion.
