Amasid Suspension is a combination medicine used to treat acidity, stomach ulcer, and bloating, relieving symptoms such as stomach pain or irritation. Amasid Suspension is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine. Do not take it for more than the recommended duration as long-term administration may have harmful effects on the health.
Amasid Suspension is a combination of four medicines: Aluminium Hydroxide, Dicyclomine, Magnesium, and Simethicone. Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium neutralize the excess acid in the stomach. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). In doing this, it relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Amasid Suspension is to be taken with food.
