Altimic 500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems. It is used to treat deficiency of vitamin B12 in the body. Vitamin B12 is important for growth, cell reproduction, blood formation, and protein and tissue synthesis. It also helps to treat anemia, fatigue, and numbness or tingling in the hands and feet.

What is Altimic 500mcg Injection?
Altimic 500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12, an essential nutrient required by the body for making red blood cells and maintaining a healthy nervous system. It also helps release energy from food and utilize Vitamin B11 (folic acid).

How should Altimic 500mcg Injection be administered?
Altimic 500mcg Injection can be given either intravenously (into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle). The typical dose is 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Altimic 500mcg Injection), and it's usually administered three times per week, with the dosage adjusted to maintenance therapy after two months.
What precautions need to be taken when administering Altimic 500mcg Injection?
When giving this injection, avoid injecting at the same site every time. If there is intense pain during injection or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert at a different site.
