Albivin Tablet is an antiparasitic medicine used to treat parasitic worm infections. Albivin Tablet should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Take it with or without food, preferably at a fixed time. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Some people may experience vomiting, dizziness, increased liver enzymes, nausea, and loss of appetite as the side effects of this medicine. Please consult your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration. You may be monitored with blood tests and liver function tests throughout your treatment.
Albivin Tablet is an antiparasitic medication. It works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose) thereby depleting their energy level. This causes the worms to die and treats your infection.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Albivin Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Alcohol
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Albivin Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeed
Albivin Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Pregnancy
Albivin Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
