Agkool Cream is a combination medicine used to treat burns and wound infection, moisturizing and relieving minor skin irritations by forming a protective layer on the skin. Agkool Cream is for external use only. You should use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. This medicine should be used regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you need as it will not clear your condition faster and some side effects may be increased. If your condition goes on for longer than four weeks or gets worse at any time, let your doctor know. The effects of medicine can be increased by keeping the affected area clean and dry and washing hands before and after treating the infection.
Agkool Cream is a combination of four medicines. Silver Sulfadiazine is an antibiotic that stops the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication. Chlorhexidine Gluconate is an antiseptic that works by killing harmful microorganisms and cleans the affected area. Aloe Vera is a plant that forms a protective layer on the skin by restoring moisture, so that it feels hydrated and refreshed. Allantoin is a skin protectant that works as a moisturizer and relieves minor skin irritations.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying unless hands are the affected area.
- Clean the affected area and then apply the cream using a sterile gloved hand or a sterile spatula.
- Apply it once or twice daily and re-apply to any areas from which it gets removed due to activity. Burn areas should be covered with the cream at all times.
- It may cause minor burning, stinging or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away.
- Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the cream in these areas.
Pregnancy
This medicine should only be used if it is clearly needed during pregnancy.
