Acmon-FX Tablet is a combination medicine used in the prevention of asthma. It relieves allergy symptoms such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes and congestion or stuffiness. Acmon-FX Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.
Acmon-FX Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Montelukast, Fexofenadine and Acebrophylline. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose, and improves symptoms of allergies. Fexofenadine is an antiallergic which relieves symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.
What should be avoided while taking Acmon-FX Tablet?
Do not take Acmon-FX Tablet with fruit juices (such as apple, orange, or grapefruit) as they may reduce its effectiveness. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking Acmon-FX Tablet. Alcohol use can intensify drowsiness or sleepiness caused by the medication.
Can I stop Acmon-FX Tablet when my symptoms are relieved?
No, continue taking Acmon-FX Tablet as instructed by your doctor. If you experience any adverse effects while using this medication, inform your doctor immediately.
Can the use of Acmon-FX Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, some patients may experience dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) after taking Acmon-FX Tablet. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, rest for a while and resume activities only when feeling better.
Will a higher than the recommended dose of Acmon-FX Tablet be more effective?
